On Sunday, March 6th, The Word Alive brought their Dark Matter Tour to Toronto ON. Along with them came Fit For A King, Out Came The Wolves, and local acts My Home, The Catacombs, and BEING.
BEING started off the night with a lot of energy and a great set. My only complaint is how short of time they had.
Next was My Home, The Catacombs. It'd been about a year since I saw these guys last play and it was great to see them again. They pulled in quite a large crowd and had a lot of people singing along during their set.
This my first time seeing Out Came The Wolves but definitely not my first time hearing of them. About two years ago I met the guys handing out flyers for their upcoming show in Minneapolis. It's crazy seeing them going from that to touring across the country with bands like The Word Alive.
Fit For A King are one of my favourite bands so I was stoked to see them on this tour. If you're ever looking for that band with amazing, meangful lyrics, these guys are it. The crowd got pretty rowdy and I got a few feet to the face but it wouldn't have been as great if it were any other way. I'm still shocked how short their set was and am hoping to see them on a headlining tour soon.
Lastly of course was The Word Alive. I'm pretty sure the Toronto date was one of their smallest shows of the tour and although they didn't have a big enough stage to set up their full production, they definitely made it work. Seeing them play such a small show was actually a lot of fun and really allowed Telle to interact with the crowd.
